The scene in the foreground would have been a mile north of Seth Coleman's house in Dartmouth. In 1815, the home of Samuel Albro Jr. and wife Mary (Foster) Albro—if indeed not the building at the right--would have been just north of here. The Albro home was visited by Mama on Sept. 27 and by Charlotte and Betsy on Oct. 17. On Oct. 5, Louisa, Harriet, Betsy, and Charlotte may have walked near here.
