Possibly Sarah, dau. of Isaac Mansfield, of Halifax, merchant.

Sarah is the only one of his three known daughters to be still unmarried in 1815. (When, on 18 July 1826, she was married to Charles Seavers, Esg., R.N., the notice reported her as being the youngest of Isaac Mansfield's daughters.) As both the Allen family (to which Joanna Brinley belongs by birth) and the Isaac Mansfield family--while still in Boston and as Loyalists in Nova Scotia--have been members of a religious sect known as Sandemanians, it would seem very probable that it is with this family that Joanna is now spending some time.
