This would be one of the daughters of John and Isabella Farquharson:

Likely the eldest, Elizabeth, aged ca. 23. (bapt. 1 oct. 1792)

Or the second eldest, Jane, aged ca. 19.

Another daughter is Isabel, aged ca. 16. (bapt. 15 March 1799).

It is not known if there were other daughters. John Farquharson has a farm on the road leading from Brook House to Cobequid (Truro). It is just a few hundred yards north of the New Preston Road. (See Louisa's Neighbourhood.)

As Mrs. Isabella Farquharson died only nine months ago (20 Dec. 1814--three days after the death of Ebenezer Allen Jr. and 11 days after that of Margaret Floyer) it would appear that the job of running the house has fallen to Elizabeth; for it seems that Louisa suggests as much when she speaks of going "to Miss Farquharson."
