[Tuesday] December the 19 [1815]
Went to town the 5 with the girls
and returned home today, the 19. I spent my time very pleasantly. The stillness
of Colin Grove seems quite strange to me after the noise and bustle of
Halifax. -- Mr. Akins still remains in
town. I have brought a set of books home with me to pass away a tedious
hour of a winter's evening. It is Conviction,
by Miss Swansea. |
