I have been washing nearly all day. We have had a very large wash. -- It has been a very disagreeable day. We could not dry our clothes. -- It is a rainy evening and we have all been sitting round the fire knitting. -- Miss Sarah Grassie was married on Saturday evening last to Mr. James Creighton Jun. -- The evenings grow too cold to sit up here to write long, and nothing worthy of notice has happened today, and [I] quit my pen till a future time.
