[Sunday] September the 3 [1815]
Today has been a dull day. --
In the morning I took a walk to my bower and picked some bayberries
on my way. -- The afternoon, it rained hard; I wrote a note to Harriet.
--There has been no one here today. -- Our
old man has gone to take a walk and has not returned. -- I went out
to milk. -- It is a stormy night; it thunders and lightens. -- Our
milk boy will have a bad time home .
-- I have sent my note by him. |
